Hunger strike demanding release of Tamil inmates who supported LTTE

A fasting protest had been launched to demand the immediate release of Tamil inmates, who are imprisoned for supporting the activities carried out by the LTTE organization.
The protest, led by the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) and several volunteering organizations, was commenced yesterday (24) in front of the Jaffna District Secretariat.
The fasting protestors stated that several inmates at the Anuradhapura prison are already engaged in a hunger strike calling to release all Tamil prisoners.
