Three nabbed with fake currency notes worth over Rs 2.3 mn

Three individuals have been arrested along with 469 fake currency notes of Rs 5000.
The haul was taken into custody while searching a car near the Thalambagamua filling station, the police said.
Reportedly, the worth of the seized currency notes is estimated to be over Rs 2.3 million.
The suspects are revealed to be Matara, Hiniduma and Akurana areas.
They will be produced before the Kantale Magistrate’s Court today (28).
