Three persons killed by drowning

Three deaths of persons due to drowning have been reported Balangoda, Mathugama and Welikanda areas, the police headquarters stated.
A 22 year old had fallen into water attempting take a group photograph while on a trip to Pahanthudawa Ella in Belihuloya. The youth from Kotahena area had passed away after being admitted to the hospital.
Another youth (24) from Kamburugama has died drowning while bathing at the Z-D Canal in Sevanapitiya, Welikanda.
Meanwhile, 42 year has been killed by drowning in Mathugama, say the Police.
He had got caught to a strong current on the temporary bridge on Mathugama canal, due to the flooding caused by heavy rain.
