UPDATE (10.30 am): Fort Magistrate’s Court has banned Anti-Corruption Force Operations Director Namal Kumara and DIG Nalaka de Silva from travelling overseas without court permission.

 

 


 

 

Anti-Corruption Force Operations Director Namal Kumara and DIG Nalaka de Silva has arrived at the Fort Magistrate’s Court a short while ago.

 

Recorded voice samples of Nalaka de Silva and the Namal Kumara will be submitted to the court today (08), by the Government Analyst’s Department.

 

Namal Kumara recently uncovered information of an alleged conspiracy to assassinate the incumbent President and the former Defense Secretary and the alleged conversations that he has had with DIG Nalaka de Silva.

 

The CID subsequently commenced investigations regarding the alleged conspiracy and has recorded statements from Namal Kumara on two occasions as of now.

 

The Government Analyst recently obtained voice samples from Namal Kumara and DIG Nalaka de Silva as per the orders of the court.

 

The Colombo Fort Magistrate had issued orders to Namal Kumara and DIG Nalaka de Silva to appear before the court today.
