A person who had been in possession of heroin has been arrested in the Akurugoda area in Tissamaharama.
Reportedly, the suspect was arrested at a raid based on a tip-off received by the Kataragama Police Special Task Force (STF).
The STF officers had seized 100 mg of heroin on the suspect.
The arrested suspect was handed over to the Tissamaharama Police station for further investigations, stated STF.
