President appoints Acting DG of Govt Information

Senior officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service (SLAS) Nalaka Kaluwewa has been appointed as the Acting Director General of the Government Information Department.
This appointment has been made under the instructions of the President and subject to the approval of the Cabinet, the President’s Media Division said.
Mr Kaluwewa currently serves as an Acting Additional Secretary to the President.
Attorney-at-Law Sudarshana Gunawardena had served as the Director General of the Government Information since October 2017.
