The Presidential Secretariat has notified all heads of government departments, chairmen of state corporations, statutory boards and state banks that the tenure of the existing Cabinet of Minister stands dissolved.
The newly appointed Acting Director General of Government Information Nalaka Kaluwewa issued the following press release on Saturday:
“The Presidential Secretariat notify to all the Heads of the Government Departments, chairmen of the state corporations, statutory Boards and state Banks that in view of the appointment of a new Prime Minister with effect from 26th of October 2018 under the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, the tenure of the existing Cabinet of Ministers shall stand dissolved.”
Meanwhile President Maithripala Sirisena is expected to appoint a new Cabinet on Monday (29).
