Three arrested over failure to establish identity

Three individuals who had failed to confirm their identity have been arrested at Kovilawatta and Marayapara areas in Hambantota.

 

The arrest has been made on a raid of the Special Task Force (STF), Sri Lanka Army and Hambantota Police based on a tip-off on persons belonging to extremist groups.

 

An Army shirt and 02 Chinese-manufactured digital communication devices have also been discovered on the arrested, stated the police.

 

According to the Special Task Force (STF), the suspects were handed over to the Hambantota Police Headquarters Inspector for further investigations.
