The Constitutional Council has approved the appointment of Senior DIG Chandana Deepal Wickremeratne as the Acting Inspector General of Police.
The Constitutional Council met earlier this afternoon (13) chaired by the Speaker, Karu Jayasuriya.
The Office of the Speaker informed of the approval issuing a press release today.
