Steps taken to provide security for a peaceful Vesak celebration - Army Chief

The security forces have taken the necessary measures to provide security for the general public for peaceful Vesak celebrations, says the Commander of Army Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake.
He appeals to the public to entrust the security forces with their safety.
The Army Chief stated this speaking to the media in Colombo.
Meanwhile, Police Media Spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara said a special security programme has been prepared in view of the Vesak Poya Day.
