Tomorrow will be a day of victorious celebration when Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa names the presidential candidate of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) at the party’s National Convention, Parliamentarian Rohitha Abeygunawardana said today (10).
He stated this speaking at a media briefing held today to explain certain details of SLPP’s National Convention that will take place at 3.00 pm tomorrow (11) at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo.
Meanwhile, TV Derana is set to provide live coverage for the event from 3.00 pm tomorrow.
Preparations for the SLPP’s National Convention are underway and the party members held a media briefing this morning to throw light on the event.
MP Keheliya Rambukwella, who also addressed the media briefing, is upbeat that the presidential candidate announced tomorrow will become the country’s next president.
