Sri Lanka out for 278, Australia set 141 to win

Australia needs to score 141 runs to complete a series whitewash after wrapping up Sri Lanka’s second innings for 278 before lunch on day four of the third test in Sydney.
Dinesh Chandimal completed an intelligent half-century and frustrated the Australian bowlers with a last-wicket stand of 41 with Nuwan Pradeep but the home side is still in control.
Sri Lanka added just 10 runs to its overnight 225-7 before Jackson Bird bowled Rangana Herath. Mitchell Johnson then bowled Suranga Lakmal before Chandimal hit 62 not out and Pradeep provided stalwart support with 9.
Bird had Pradeep caught behind by Matthew Wade to end the resistance.
