Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews won the toss and sent Bangladesh to bat in the first One-Day-International (ODI) of the three-match series at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium in Hambantota on Saturday.
Kushal Perera in at the top of the order while Off-spinner Sachitra Senanayake was also included in the squad.
Bangladesh left out Jahurul Islam, Mominul Haque and left-arm spinner Mosharraf Hossain, and included allrounder Ziaur Rahman and batsman Mohammad Ashraful.
The second ODI will be held on March 25 followed by final ODI on March 28.
The two countries will play the lone T20 match on March 31.
