Dilshan to miss tri-nation due to injury

Sri Lanka opening batsman T.M. Dilshan will miss the tri-nation series in West Indies due to his injury, the Secretary of Sri Lanka Cricket stated.
Upul Tharanga will replace the injured Tillakaratne Dilshan in Sri Lanka’s squad for the tri-series also involving India, while Ajantha Mendis also got a recall at Thisara Perera’s expense.
Dilshan tore his calf in the fourth over of Sri Lanka’s innings during the Champions Trophy semi-final against India, after he had struck Umesh Yadav for two boundaries.
“Dilshan’s MRI showed a grade 2 strain to his right medial calf muscle. At this stage, the expected recovery time is 4-6 weeks,” SLC said.
At a selection meeting held today (21) the following squad was selected and approved by the Sports Minister for the Tour:
