The 2nd ODI between Sri Lanka and South Africa is scheduled to commence at 3.00pm today (23) at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Secretary of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Nishantha Ranatunga said.
South Africa’s practice session on the eve of the match was interrupted by rain which continues to pour in Colombo.
More rain is forecast on Tuesday, but it’s expected to clear in the afternoon. Since it’s a day/night match, the rain might play spoilsport and D/L method might again come into play.
The toss is very crucial for both teams particularly when rain is forecast.
South Africa will look to bounce back strongly in the 2nd ODI against Sri Lanka after the disastrous loss in the 1st match by 180 runs.
Sri Lanka lead the five ODI series by 1-0. The 3rd ODI will be played on July 26th at Pallekele.
