Sri Lanka stand-in captain Dinesh Chandima won the toss and elected to bat against South Africa in the 2nd Dialog Cup ODI played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Tusday.
South Africa opening batsman Hashim Amla, who sat out the first match due to injury, returns to replace Colin Ingram.
Sri Lanka named an unchanged side.
The match was delayed after South Africa’s practice session on the eve of the match was interrupted by rain which continued to pour in Colombo.
More rain is forecast today, but it’s expected to clear in the afternoon. Since it’s a day/night match, the rain might play spoilsport and D/L method might again come into play.
South Africa will look to bounce back strongly in the 2nd ODI against Sri Lanka after the disastrous loss in the 1st match by 180 runs.
Sri Lanka lead the five ODI series by 1-0. The 3rd ODI will be played on July 26th at Pallekele.
