Galle Road opposite the Presidential Secretariat has been closed off temporarily owing protests carried out in the area, stated Ada Derana reporter.

 

Reportedly, students of Higher National Diploma (HND) and owners of Lanka IOC fuel stations are engaged in protests in front of the Presidential Secretariat.

 

Lanka IOC Fuel Distributors say that there is a decline in customers of Lanka IOC over the disparities between fuel prices of Lanka IOC and Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC), which hinders their businesses.

 

Accordingly, a group of Lanka IOC fuel station owners arrived at the Presidential Secretariat to hand over a letter on their issues to the President.
