CoPF to consider amendment to Vote on Account

The Committee on Public Finance (CoPF) will consider a proposal for the amendment to the Vote on Account tomorrow (18) for the purpose of obtaining approximately Rs 367 billion.

 

Following the approval of the committee, the proposal will thus be submitted to the parliament for debate on the 20th of February 2020.

 

The debate is set to take place from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm.

 

In addition, the Nation Building Tax (Amendment) Bill, Economic Service Charges (Amendment) Bill and the Ports and Airport Development Levy (Amendment) Bill along with 03 bills will be discussed at tomorrow’s meeting.

 

The aforementioned bills will also be presented in Parliament on the 20th of February following the approval of the Committee.

 

The Committee will also discuss the observations made by the Central Bank in relation to the Forensic Audit Reports on the Central Bank Bond Issue.
