Sri Lanka bounce back to beat Bangladesh by 13 runs

Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by 13 runs in the first one-day international at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on Monday, thanks to a spectacular unbeaten 80 from Thisara Perera.
Chasing a score of 181 runs. Bangladesh were off to a poor start losing Anamul Haque in the first over but the other Haque, Mominul played an enterprising knock of 44 to add 79 runs with Shamshur Rahman to get the chase back on track.
Rahman played a superb knock scoring a fifty but fell at the wrong time as Bangladesh yet again collapsed to hand Sri Lanka the win. In the end the catches dropped from the hosts eventually cost them the match.
Bangladesh won the toss earlier in the day and inserted Sri Lanka in after a delay of almost two hours. They got their plans right when they had the visitors 67/8.
Perera however then lead a brilliant counter attack staying unbeaten on 80 as he and Senanayake added 82 runs to get them back into the match.
The debutants Sunny and Al-Amin Hossain bowled really well for the hosts as they along with the rest of the bowlers restricted the Sri Lankans to 180.
Sri Lanka lead the three-match ODI series 1-0.
