President requests not to display portraits of him in public

The public has been requested not to display photographs or portraits of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa in public places, stated President’s Media Division (PMD).
A statement by the PMD points out that it has been observed that the portraits and photographs of the President are being exhibited on roadsides and at events without proper supervision.
President Rajapaksa, while expressing his gratitude towards those who make portraits of him, requests the public not to do so here onwards.
President says that he does not appreciate the promotion of personal image.
