Three suspects held with explosives in Kinniya

The Sri Lanka Navy apprehended 03 suspects with an explosive cache, during a combined operation conducted with the Police in Kuraiyaadi.
Reportedly, naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command in coordination with the Kinniya Police had intercepted 03 suspicious persons on a motorbike in the general area of Kuraiyaadi, yesterday (01).
The officers have recovered 03 water gel sticks and 45 non-electric detonators in their possession.
The apprehended persons have been identified as residents of the same area, aged 23, 37 and 44 years.
The Kinniya Police is conducting investigations into the incident.
