Three nabbed with heroin and ‘Ice’ in Puttalam

The Navy has apprehended three suspects who had been in possession of heroin and ‘Ice’ (also known as Crystal Methamphetamine), during a coordinated search carried out with the Puttalam Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB).
Naval personnel attached to the North-western Naval Command during a coordinated search conducted with the PNB in Puttalam area had searched 3 suspicious houses and found about 6g and 151mg of heroin and approximately 2g of Crystal Methamphetamine in the possession of the house- dwellers.
The suspects were subsequently taken into custody.
The accused have been identified as residents of the same area, aged 28 to 31 years.
The Puttalam Police is conducting further investigation into the incident.
