Man arrested with over 500 g of heroin

A suspect has been arrested with over 500 grams of narcotic drugs near the Vijaya Kumaratunga Hospital in Seeduwa.

 

The arrest had been made last evening (07) at a raid by a team of officers attached to the Negombo Police Station.

 

Accordingly, 501 g of heroin has been found in the possession of the suspect.

 

The arrested suspect is a 48-year-old male resident of Ekala, Ja-Ela.

 

Meanwhile, another has been arrested with 60 g of heroin near the Ratmalana Railway Station.

 

The arrestee is a 37-year-old from the Lakshapathiya area in Moratuwa.
