Student in critical condition after ragging incident at J’pura uni

A first-year student at the Sri Jayawardenepura University is currently hospitalized in critical condition over injuries caused by an alleged ragging incident.
The elder brother of the injured student claims that senior students at the university had pushed a tractor tire at his brother which had resulted in internal injuries.
The 20-year-old injured first-year student is currently receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Neurological Unit at the Accident Ward of Colombo National Hospital.
However, the Student Union of Sri Jayawardenepura University states that this incident, which occurred on March 05, was an accident.
Meanwhile, the university administration has launched an investigation into the incident.
