Fifteen government hospitals have been recommended to conduct medical tests on COVID-19, stated the Ministry of Health.
The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry pointed out that these hospitals have been recommended for the treatment and quarantine of the virus.
The following hospitals have recommended:
-Infectious Diseases Hospital in Angoda
-Colombo National Hospital
-Kandy National Hospital
-Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital
-De Zoysa Maternity Hospital
-Ragama, Karapitiya, Jaffna, Batticaloa, Ratnapura and Anuradhapura Teaching Hospitals
-Kurunegala, Badulla, Gampaha and Negombo General Hospital
Reportedly, the Health Ministry is in the process of regulating to give approval to private hospitals for the treatment and quarantine of the virus.
