
Sri Lanka made 165 for seven wickets in their 20 overs in the Group One super 10 match of the World Twenty20 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Saturday.
Opener Kusal Parera was the standout batsman for the Sri Lankan team as he made 61 runs from 40 balls whereas Angelo Mathews scored 43 runs from 32 balls. Wicket Keeper batsman Kumar Sangakkara made 14 runs from 18 balls.
Spinner Imran Tahir was the pick of the bowlers for the Proteas as he took three wickets whereas Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel took two wickets each.
Earlier Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat first.
