52 COVID-19 cases confirmed in Sri Lanka

The number of COVID-19 positive cases in the country has gone up by 2, bringing the total to 52 cases, according to the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry.

 

All confirmed patients are receiving treatment at the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) in Angoda.

 

Meanwhile, 243 suspected Covid-19 patients are currently being treated at selected hospitals in the country.

 

The majority of the confirmed cases are males (81%) while 45.2% percent of the patients are of the ages between 41 to 50 years, according to a situation report of the Epidemiology Unit.
