33-year-old nabbed while transporting 1kg of ‘Ice’

A man has been arrested at Mahawatta area in Pitigala while in possession of 1kg 30g of Crystal Methamphetamine, commonly known as ‘Ice’.
The officers of Walana crime prevention unit had made the arrest last night at around 8.00 pm.
They had searched a suspicious person riding a motorcycle and found the haul of ‘Ice’ parcel.
The arrestee, a 33-year-old from Boraluhena area, has been handed over to the Pitigala police station along with the seized motorcycle.
He is scheduled to be produced before Elpitiya Magistrate.
Pitigala police is conducting further investigations into this.
