Extra trains, buses to operate from Pettah and Fort before curfew

The Ministry of Transport says that extra trains and buses will be operating from Pettah and Fort in Colombo to cater to the rush before curfew is imposed.
The ministry said that the decision was taken to minimize congestion of commuters at stations and on public transport ahead of the curfew which is to be imposed this evening.
An island-wide curfew is be imposed from 6.00 pm today (20) until 6.00 am on Monday (23).
The curfew is to be imposed with a view to prevent violation of provisions and regulations of the Quarantine and Prevention of Diseases Ordinance imposed for prevention of spreading COVID-19.
