Confirmed positive Covid-19 cases tally in Sri Lanka has jumped to 102, as the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry announced a total of 5 infected persons were recorded during the course of yesterday.
According to reports, 229 suspected coronavirus patients including 6 foreign nationals are receiving treatment at 19 selected hospitals across the island.
Out of this total, 97 are being treated at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) in Angoda while 27 are at Welikanda Hospital, which was recently arranged for treating suspected coronavirus-infected persons.
In the meantime, 12 persons are being treated at the General Hospital Nagoda in Kalutara, 11 suspected cases at Hambantota Base Hospital and 10 at Kurunegala Teaching Hospital.
The Health Ministry reported that two coronavirus patients identified in Sri Lanka have recovered so far.
