Another COVID-19 case confirmed; Total count at 856

One more person has tested positive for COVID-19 as of 8.00 pm on Sunday (10), says the Ministry of Health.

 

The total count of coronavirus cases in the country has thereby reached 856.

 

In the meantime, Sri Lanka has confirmed 321 recoveries and 9 fatalities from the disease, to date.

 

The Epidemiology Unit says that 526 active cases are currently under medical care at selected hospitals across the country.

 

Sri Lanka saw the highest daily surge in confirmed COVID-19 cases on April 27, with 65 new infections. The tally went up from 523 to 588 just within 24 hours.
