Stock market closed for trading as S&P SL20 falls

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) which was reopen on Monday (May 11) after a seven-week shutdown, closed for trading right after the opening bell as the S&P SL20 Index plunged about 10.11% from the previous close (20 March 2020).
Today, the S&P SL20 Index indicated a fall of 196.93 points to 1,750.49. This is a decline of 10.11% from the previous close (20 March 2020).
Therefore, as set out in SEC directive dated 30th April 2020, the market will be closed for the rest of the day.
The last day the CSE was open, 20 March, the S&P SL20 dropped by 11.72%.
