10-hour water cut in several areas including Kalutara

The water supply to Kalutara and several surrounding areas will be interrupted for 10 hours from 8 am this morning (12), stated the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB).
Accordingly, the water cut will be in effect until 6.30 pm this evening.
The water cut is a result of a temporary interruption of the power supply to the Kethena Water Purification Plant owing to necessary maintenance work at the Ceylon Electricity Board.
The water cut will be experienced in Waskaduwa, Wadduwa, Pothupitiya, Morontuduwa, Kalutara (North / South), Katukurunda / Nagoda, Payagala, Pilaminawatte, Bombuwala, Maggona, Beruwala, Kaluwamodara / Moragalla, Aluthgama, Darganagar and Bentota areas.
