Sixteen new COVID-19 recoveries take total to 382

Sixteen more COVID-19 patients have been discharged from hospitals as they have made complete recoveries, says the Ministry of Health.

 

Seven patients from Homagama Base Hospital, six from Kattankudy Base Hospital, two from Mulleriyawa Base Hospital and a patient from IDH Hospital have been discharged after full recovery.

 

These new recoveries have brought the total to 382 in the country, the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry stated.

 

Meanwhile, the number of coronavirus positive cases confirmed in Sri Lanka currently stands at 889.

 

Nine of these patients have succumbed to the disease so far.

 

A total of 498 active cases are under medical care at selected hospitals across the country.
