Tally hits 936 as another COVID-19 patient is detected

One more individual has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus as of 4.00 pm on Saturday (16), says the Ministry of Health.
This patient has been confirmed from the quarantine centre in Meeyankulam, the Ministry added.
With the detection of this new case, Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 cases count has reached 936.
In the meantime, coronavirus recoveries in the country moved up to 520 earlier today as 43 patients returned to health.
The Epidemiology Unit says that 407 active cases are currently under medical care at selected hospitals across the country.
The country’s death toll from COVID-19 stands at 09.
