Coronavirus: 957 cases reported in Sri Lanka

Eight more individuals have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, confirmed the Ministry of Health a short while ago.

 

With the new cases, 22 new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in the country within today (16) so far.

 

The total number of coronavirus cases reported from the country now stands at 957 cases.

 

Meanwhile, COVID-19 recoveries in Sri Lanka moved up to 520 earlier today as 43 patients returned to health.

 

The Epidemiology Unit says that 428 active cases are currently under medical care at selected hospitals across the country.

 

The country’s death toll from COVID-19 stands at 09.
