COVID-19: Two new cases bring total count to 1,030

Two new COVID-19 cases have moved the total count of novel coronavirus infections reported in the country to 1,030 cases, confirmed the Ministry of Health a short while ago.

 

The latest two cases are detected amongst the Sri Lanka Navy personnel, according to the Department of Government Information.

 

Meanwhile, 20 more recovered patients, reported today (21), brought the total number of recoveries to 604.

 

As per a tally of the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry, 417 active cases are currently under the medical care at selected hospitals across the island.

 

Sri Lanka has recorded nine fatalities from the COVID-19 virus.
