Public transport to return to normalcy from tomorrow

Public transport services among all districts will resume from tomorrow (June 08), while adhering to health guidelines, said Minister of Transport Mahinda Amaraweera.

 

Chairman of the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Kingsley Ranawaka stated that all SLTB buses will be deployed to facilitate public transport services tomorrow.

 

However, Private Bus Owners say that they are facing several issues with deploying buses from for services.

 

Meanwhile, the Department of Railways stated that all office and night mail trains will be in operation from tomorrow.

 

Senior DIG of Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon said that the Traffic Lane law will be reinforced in the Western Province from tomorrow onwards.
