COVID-19 case count moves to 1,819

Five more individuals are confirmed to have contracted the COVID-19 virus, hiking the total cases reported in the country.

 

Accordingly, the tally of coronavirus infections reported from Sri Lanka has moved to 1,819 cases.

 

Currently, 867 active cases are under medical care at selected hospitals across the island, as per the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry.

 

With 50 patients discharged today (07), the count of recoveries in the country is at 941 cases.

 

Sri Lanka has witnessed 11 deaths in the coronavirus pandemic so far.
