
Thirty-four more Sri Lanka Navy personnel who had contracted the COVID-19 have recovered completely from the disease.
Out of the 34, 17 sailors were treated at in Homagama hospital, 12 in Iranavila hospital, and another 05 in the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH), said the Sri Lanka Navy.
Sri Lanka Navy said a total of 522 coronavirus-positive navy men have returned to health so far.
These discharged navy men will be kept under quarantine for another 14 days in compliance with the healthcare regulations.
The number of coronavirus cases reported in Sri Lanka currently stands at 1,835 following the detection of 21 fresh cases on Sunday (07).
As per the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry, 883 active cases are currently under medical care at selected hospitals across the island.
Meanwhile, 941 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospital upon complete recovery from the disease.
Sri Lanka has recorded 11 fatalities from the virus.
