Navy men make up all of Coronavirus cases confirmed yesterday

A total of 08 navy men tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday (11), increasing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 1,877.

 

They were found from quarantine centres in Iyakachchi (04), Mullaitivu (03) and Vidaththatpalai (01).

 

Meanwhile, the recoveries tally hit 1,150 as 28 more persons who had contracted the virus recovered from the disease yesterday. They were receiving treatment at the Infectious Disease Hospital (07), Welikanda Base Hospital (10), Iranawila Hospital (01), Kattankudy Base Hospital (01), Welisara Navy Hospital (06), Homagama Base Hospital (02) and Minuwangoda Base Hospital (01).
 
The Epidemiology Unit’s tally reads that 716 active cases are currently under medical care.

 

Sri Lanka has confirmed 11 deaths due to the COVID-19.
