Sri Lanka vs Lebanon – Davis Cup 2015 begins today

  Sri Lanka will meet Lebanon in the Davis Cup tennis Group-II Asia-Oceania Zone Relegation Play-off from today, Friday. The decisive tie will go on till Sunday, 19, at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association clay courts in Colombo.
 
The winner of this tie will stay in Zone Group-II in 2016 while the loser will be relegated to Asia-Oceania Zone Group III. Sri Lanka’s Davis Cup country rank is 63 and Lebanon is ranked eight places below at 71.

 

The participants are as below:
 
Team Sri Lanka – Harshana Godamanna, Dineshkanthan Thangarajah, Rohan De Silva (C), Sharmal Dissanayake and Sanka Atukorale.
 
Team Lebanon – Giovani Samaha, Jad Ballout, Hady Habib,Ibrahim Abou Chahine and Hussein Badreddine (C)
