New Zealand score tight win over Sri Lanka in Twenty20

New Zealand held their nerve to beat Sri Lanka by three runs in their Twenty20 international against New Zealand in Mount Maunganui on Thursday.
Chasing the Black Caps’ 182-4 in front of a full house of 7845 spectators at the Bay Oval, the visitors finished at 179-9 in the first game of a two-match series.
Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bowl Thursday in the first of two Twenty20 cricket internationals against New Zealand.
The match will be played on the same pitch at Bay Oval where New Zealand beat Sri Lanka on Tuesday to clinch a five-match one-day series 3-1.
New Zealand’s lineup includes Twenty20 specialists Colin Munro and Grant Elliott, while Sri Lanka named Danushka Gunathilika to make his T20 debut.
