A total of 2,160 novel coronavirus cases linked to the Minuwangoda-Peliyagoda cluster have made complete recoveries as of yesterday (03), says the National Operation Centre for Prevention of Covid-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
The dual cluster grew to become the new epicentre of a staggering resurgence of COVID-19 cases in the country just within a month after a female employee of the Brandix apparel factory in Minuwangoda had tested positive for the virus.
According to state information bureau’s data, the cluster registered 8,266 infections in total since the beginning of October.
