The Director General of Health Services has confirmed the 42nd coronavirus death in the country.
The 80-year-old male, a resident of Panadura, died on admission to the Police Hospital.
At the post mortem, cause of the death is cited as a heart attack caused by the Covid-19 virus infection.
Accordingly, the death toll due to Covid-19 in the country has now risen to 42, the Director General said.
