117 quarantine regulation violators arrested so far in drone operations

The police have arrested 46 more individuals within the past 24 hours for violating isolation restrictions.
Twenty-four police divisions are still under isolation status due to the uptick in Covid-19 infections.
Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana said 117 quarantine regulation violators have so far been taken into custody in drone operations.
They were taken into custody for not wearing face masks and failing to maintain social distancing.
Accordingly, the police have made 358 arrests related to quarantine regulation violations since the 30th of October.
DIG Rohana said cases will be filed against them under Quarantine Law.
