Six more COVID-19 deaths bring tally to 390

Sri Lanka has reported 06 more coronavirus related deaths, the Director-General of Health Services confirmed today (February 13).

 

As per the Department of Government Information, three male patients and three female patients are among the victims.

 

The new deaths bring the number of COVID-19 related deaths witnessed in Sri Lanka to 390 in total.

 

01. The deceased is an 83-year-old female from Bandaragama. She died on 11.02.2021 at her residence. The cause of death is mentioned as COVID-19 pneumonia, heart disease with high blood pressure.
 
02. The deceased is a 70-year-old female from Habaraduwa. She was diagnosed as infected with the COVID-19 19 virus and transferred from a Teaching Hospital in Karapitiya to IDG Hospital where she died on 12.02.2021. The cause of death is mentioned as a shock due to blood poisoning, COVID-19 pneumonia, and heart disease.

 

03. The deceased is a 77-year-old male from Nittambuwa. He died on 13.02.2021 while undergoing treatments at Base Hospital Wathupitiwala. The cause of death is mentioned as lung infection due to the Covid-19 virus, asthma, and a heart attack with high blood pressure.

 

04. The deceased is a 46-year-old female from Negombo. She died on 13.02.2021 while undergoing treatments at Base Hospital Homagama. The cause of death is mentioned as COVID-19 pneumonia and acute heart infection.

 

05. The deceased is a 69-year-old male from Kandy. He died on 09.02.2021 while undergoing treatments at National Hospital Kandy. The cause of death is mentioned as COVID-19 pneumonia and heart disease.

 

06. The deceased is a 53-year-old male from Narangoda. He died 13.02.2021 while undergoing treatments at Base Hospital Homagama. The cause of death is mentioned as COVID-19 pneumonia, acute diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and kidney disease.
