Renowned Indian actor Aamir Khan has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The actor has isolated himself at his home after testing positive.

He is following all Covid-19 guidelines and has requested people who have come in contact with him in the past few days to get themselves tested for the virus as well.

Aamir Khan’s spokesperson confirmed the news. He said, “Aamir Khan has tested positive for Covid-19. He is at home in self-quarantine, following all the protocols and he’s doing fine. All those who came in contact with him in the recent past should get themselves tested as a precautionary measure. Thank you for all your wishes and concern.”

Kiara Advani was shooting with Aamir Khan for an ad when the latter tested positive for Covid-19. However, reports confirmed earlier in the day that Kiara had tested negative for the virus, along with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 director Anees Bazmee. The duo got themselves tested especially after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 lead actor Kartik Aaryan tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Earlier, actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Tara Sutaria and Satish Kaushik also tested positive for Covid-19, apart from Aamir and Kartik.

A day after his 56th birthday, Aamir Khan announced that he has quit social media. The actor posted a statement to inform his fans and followers that it is his last post and said that future updates on his life and films will be available on the official social media handles of Aamir Khan Productions. He said that he is quitting social media to completely focus on work.

On the work front, Aamir Khan is currently busy with Laal Singh Chaddha. The film has been wrapped up and the team is working on post-production. Laal Singh Chaddha is the Hindi remake of Tom Hanks’s Forrest Gump and also stars Kareena Kapoor in a pivotal role. It is scheduled to release on Christmas 2021.

Apart from that, Aamir recently shot for a song, Har Funn Maula, with Elli AvrRam for the film, Koi Jaane Na. The song became an instant hit right after its release.
