India restrict Sri Lanka to 236/8

India restricted Sri Lanka to 236 for the loss of 8 wickets after halting a spirited start by the Lankans in Pallekele concluding the first innings of the 2nd ODI.
Opener Niroshan Dickwella put on a quick-fire 31 off 24 balls only to be halted by Jasprit Bumrah who was the pick of the bowlers bagging 4/22. Constant wickets falling restricted Sri Lanka from achieving an imposing target. A well paced knock however by returning Milinda Siriwardene saw Sri Lanka to a respectable total. Siriwardene scored 58 before falling to the brilliance of Bumrah.
Sri Lanka will look to their bowlers now to halt the Indian batting stalwarts to level the 5 match series.
