
Pakistan cricket team defeated Sri Lanka by seven wickets to win the first Twenty20 international in Abu Dhabi, taking a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
After sending Sri Lanka cricket team to bat, Pakistan bowled out the visitors for 102 in 18.3 overs and chased the target down in 17.2 overs (103/3). Earlier, Seekuge Prasanna finished with 23 not out while debutant Sadeera Samarawickrama also made 23 for Sri Lanka.
Hasan Ali took a career best 3-23 for Pakistan, with Usman Khan and Mohammad Hafeez scalping one each. The T20 series will see the return of Sri Lanka to Pakistan, eight years after their team bus was ambushed by gunmen on their way to the ground in Lahore on March 3, 2009.
